Operating Unit/Function, Program): • Mission Systems Sector; Intelligence, Surveillance & Recognizance Systems (ISRS) Division; Intelligence Systems Operation (ISO) • Distributed Communication Ground System (DCGS) Project What We Do: • The DCGS program provides state-of-the-art software solutions to military data challenges. The project develops software to first gather data from multiple sources, then extract metadata and publish it to the metadata catalog for posting and use by other services. The team is comprised of analysts, software developers, and engineers that work in a collaborative environment to solve challenging problems. Goal (s): • ISO’s goal is to provide the student with an opportunity to participate in the implementation of a software product. Key Student Responsibilities: • The student responsibilities will be tailored to optimize the assignment to their interests and capabilities. • The student will perform software design, programming and test in a dynamic, challenging environment. Minimum Prerequisites: • Experience with object oriented design, JAVA programming • Knowledge of web applications and familiarity with Windows and UNIX platforms • Eligibility to support programs which require US citizenship Potential Start Date & Duration: • Fall – School begins on Tuesday, September 2, 2008. Students are required to work on Monday (1:45pm - COB), Wednesday (11:00am- COB), and Friday (11:00am- COB) Pilot program – N/A at this time
