What is ROP? Community Involvement Programme (CIP) by NEA to encourage environmental action and awareness towards minimising waste and recycling
Who is involve? • School community(students, teaching and non-teaching staff, parents, alumni, school advisory committee, canteen vendors, bookshop owner, dental nurse etc) • External community(neighbouring residents, community centres, neighbouring schools etc)
Implementation • Phase 1 (within School Boundary) • Phase 2 (outside School Boundary) • Yearly registration
Phase 1 • Students’ Presentation • Talk on “Waste Minimisation” or Recycling by school Environmental Champion • Play/Skit/Drama/Poem Recitation on “Waste Minimisation” or Recycling Recyclable Collection Booth In collaboration with school’s Public Waste Collector (PWC)
Phase 1 • Exhibition Panels / Booths • Waste minimisation exhibition (NEA) • Students’ 3Rs projects • Students’ environmental projects
Phase 1 • An Interactive Booth • Paper making demonstration • Art and craft works • Jumble sales (used items or students’ craft works) • Game booth promoting 3Rs • Other environmental projects
Phase 2 Educational Materials Pupils to design, produce and distribute materials on Waste Minimisation and NRP to the community Grassroots Organisations Pupils to work with the grassroots organisations to Reach Out to the residents on Waste Minimisation and NRP ( organise talk, showcase students’ 3Rs projects etc)
