Type of Website: Commercial • Sponsored by a for profit business or marketing enterprise • Tries to promote or sell a product or service • Address may end in .com • Examples • Dell Computers • Pepsi Co. • Barnes and Noble Booksellers, Inc.
Type of Website: Informational • Purpose is to present factual information such as data, research and statistics • Web address usually ends in .edu or .gov • Examples: • GTCC • United States Congress • Department of Health and Human Services
