According to IDC a decline of 2.7% in IT spending is expected. Stephen Minton, program Vice President in IDC’s Customer Insights and Analysis group said that there will be a demand in technology and service but still in 2020 a decline in IT spending will be seen. The production of smartphones seems to be declining by 12 percent year on year this quarter which is recorded as the lowest quarter in five years. Several suppliers of fiber optics in Wuhan is accounted for 25% of global production which directly affected the supply chain across the world. The technology development seems to be affected by the scenario of shutting down offices, stores, and factories. Even the restriction on traveling to the other country gives a huge picture of the ​impact of coronavirus on technology. In the future, many manufacturing processes will replace manpower to robots seems a safer means for the COVID-19 pandemic.
