Educational Requirements • Steps to become a dermatologist: 4 years of undergraduate, 4years of medical school, and 3 to 8 years of residency. • There are many exams that are necessary for a dermatologist to pass such as the Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) and the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT)

Most doctors have to face law suits. 3.It is a highly competitive field. 1. Unlike other doctors, dermatologist rarely, if at all, receive emergency calls, and they can work with flexible hours. 2. There is a growing demand for dermatologists, because most of the disease, such as acne doesn’t stop growing. 3. High salary

  10. Personal Skills • Dermatology is definitely a possibility for me because I like to work with people and make them feel more confident about themselves. I am currently working as a nail technician , and so I have some experience in working with people, especially women. Dermatologists not only deal with skin, but also nails and hair. Therefore, doing nails gives me a feel of how dermatology would be.

  11. Preparations • In order to prepare for this job, I can try to make good grades in college, and study hard for the MCAT because it will help me get into medical school. • I can also participate in extracurricular activities and make sure that I take the classes that are necessary for this field.
