Upgrade status and plans • Upgrade to 10.2.0.5 • DLF and PPS databases already upgraded • SRM and Stager databases to be upgraded when Heavy Ions run is finished (December) • Nameserver database to be upgraded during January technical stop • Standard optimizer & statistics gathering to be stress-tested to review the possibility of removing hints CASTOR databases overview - 7

New hardware plans • SRM, Stager and DLF databases are to be migrated and consolidated • Where: Gen3 machines: 48GBs RAM Intel Xeon 8 * 2.27 GHz • When: January/February • Possible consolidation plans • By experiment – 3 node cluster containing STAGER, SRM and DLF • By DB type – separate clusters for SRM/Stagers and DLFs CASTOR databases overview - 8
