  1. GCSE Geography Coursework Should Benfleet have a 3rd Access Road?

  2. Aims • The aim of the coursework is for you to produce a piece of work in the region of 2,500 words that answers the following question: Should Canvey Island have a 3rd Access Road? • To be successful you will need to use a wide range of resources and skills.

  3. A route to Enquiry. • The overall aim of the coursework is to investigate whether Should Canvey Island have a 3rd Access Road? • But in order to gain the highest marks possible, you need to develop your own route to enquiry. • A route to enquiry is where you plan a series of small steps to answer the main question.

  4. What do we need to investigate and find out?

  5. Your Route • Having mind mapped what you need to investigate and found out about the main aim, you now need to plan your “route to enquiry”. • Think of this like a route map to get from A to B. • How will you organise your work, what data do you think you need to collect, how will you collect it and when, and how will you present your data?
