  3. Introductions • Please state the following: • Name • Organization • What is your connection to College and Career Readiness?

  4. Norms for Our Collaboration • Honor time commitments • Encourage active listening • Respect different points of view and experience • Ask and/or record questions • Provide data • Take time to reflect • Communicate/Share conversations to all partners

  5. Define The Work • Each table will need to assign a: • Facilitator • This person will maintain group focus on the task • Recorder • Take notes in Google Doc • Reporter • The spoke person for the table • Time Keeper • Be a time manager for the group

  8. Operational HB 5 Key Questions • Which IHE will your LEA partner with? • Who is eligible for College Preparatory class? • EOC Assessments • College Entrance Examination • Assessment Instrument Designated

Operational HB 5 Key Questions • How will the course be offered? • How will appropriate faculty of each institution meet regularly to ensure that the course is aligned with college readiness expectations? • How will school districts provide notice of the benefits of enrolling in a College Preparatory course? • One uniformed letter? • Websites? • Electronic? • Successful completion of this course can satisfy an advanced ELAR or Mathematics curriculum requirement (Operations – notification)

  10. Operational HB 5 Key Questions • Course may be offered for dual credit at the discretion of the IHE with which a school district partners • ISD and IHE develop or purchase instructional materials for the course, must include technology resources that enhance the effectiveness of the course and draw on established best practices • 2014-2015 - implementation
