Membership Growth is the responsibility of every club member but as a club president, you must set a Goal and create an action plan. Define your target group. Get every member to compile a prospect list.
Simple, Effective Strategies For Boosting Your Membership Efforts
Never underestimate the power of public relations. Be sure to publicise your club’s activities. RECRUITMENT
Always have your club’s brochures available at public events. Have an ‘Invite A Friend’ night during one of your club’s meeting. RECRUITMENT
Encourage members to bring a friend or prospect to help out during one of your club’s service activities. Hold a membership open house. Lions information night. Produce a club e-newsletter and mail a copy to all your friends and associates. RECRUITMENT
Business Card: member’s name, phone contact, club’s name and meeting date and venue. ‘Lions Club of K. L. North’ meets here ….. Challenge your members to meet a specific recruitment goal for the year. Conduct a quarterly review of your club’s membership recruitment. RECRUITMENT

EFFECTIVE RETENTION STRATEGIES MEETINGS – be punctual and be in control of the meeting. Give Lions tasks they will enjoy and get them involved. Show members you care – remember their birthdays, anniversary, etc. Keep in touch with members – email, sms, minutes of meeting, e-newsletter, etc.
