  3. We offer free or reduced tuition to eligible students who enroll in an approved training program. This video is designed to help you determine your eligibility for funding. You may be eligible for more than one source of funding. Worker Retraining Eligibility Criteria (must meet one of the following): • Collecting Unemployment Insurance • Exhausted UI within the last 2 years • Received a layoff notice • Displaced homemakers (divorced, widowed, separated) • Formerly self-employed • Separated from the Armed Forces • Funded in part by the Walmart Brighter Futures Project www.seattlecolleges.edu/wrp

  7. Worker Retraining Program Benefits: • Awards are a fixed dollar amount that vary from quarter to quarter. • The award for Fall Quarter will be $750 for full-time students. Part time students will be prorated. • Awards beyond the first quarter are made on a case-by-case basis and require that applicants first apply for all other possible funding sources. • Funded in part by the Walmart Brighter Futures Project www.seattlecolleges.edu/wrp

  11. WorkFirst Program Eligibility: • Currently receiving Temporary Assistance For Needy Families (TANF) with approval from DSHS case manager to attend school • Enrolled in an approved program of study • Funded in part by the Walmart Brighter Futures Project www.seattlecolleges.edu/wrp

  12. WorkFirst Program Benefits: • 100% of required tuition, fees, and books • Support services from DSHS may be available • Funded in part by the Walmart Brighter Futures Project www.seattlecolleges.edu/wrp

Opportunity Grant Program Eligibility (must meet ALL of the following): • Washington State resident • Meet OG income guidelines (next slide) • Completed less than degree or certificate • Apply for Federal Financial Aid within your first quarter • Enroll in an approved pathway of study • LPN to RN Ladder • Phlebotomy • Nursing Assistant • Accounting • Medical Assistant • Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) • Funded in part by the Walmart Brighter Futures Project www.seattlecolleges.edu/wrp

Opportunity Grant Program Benefits: • 100% of required tuition and fees for up to 45 credits of study in an approved pathway • Students receive a pro-rated book voucher each quarter based on class enrollment (not to exceed $1000 a year). • Funded in part by the Walmart Brighter Futures Project www.seattlecolleges.edu/wrp

  23. BFET How to Apply for Basic Food: • Online at: washingtonconnection.org • Call 1-877-501-2233 to request an application by mail, or • In person at your local DSHS office.
