  3. Psalm 27:4 One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple. Inquire=Meditate

  5. Worship • “An active response to God whereby we declare His worth.” • Worship is from Him, to Him, and through Him • Romans 11:36- For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. • Our lives should sing to Him. • Romans 12- I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

  6. Worship • As we gaze upon Him, be become like Him. • 2 Corinthians 3:18- And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

Revelation 8:3-4 And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censor, and he was given much incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar before the throne, and the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel. Our worship joins with the angels, the elders, the 4 living creatures, and the saints from all over the world in a sweet, fragrant offering to the Lord.

  8. Perfume • Perfume literally means: • “To perfuse with smoke, to fill with the smoke or vapor of some burning substance.”

  9. Worship • Is absolutely necessary. • Luke 10:38-42 • One thing is necessary. • We worship God because He desires it. • He wants us to be with Him.

  10. Harp and Bowl When we come together to study and meditate upon the word, we position ourselves to receive revelation of who He is. Matthew 25: 1-13 John 12:3 Psalm 133 Embracing the Kingdom now but not yet

Goals for Harp and Bowl • As we begin to structure our meetings to gaze upon the beauty of God in the splendor of His holiness, things will begin to move that will change the region. • Deuteronomy 32:30 principle: • 1 can put 1,000 to flight • 2 can put 10,000 to flight • 3 can put 100,000 to flight

  12. Goals for Harp and Bowl Engaging in Harp and Bowl meetings will cultivate a real desire within you and within the congregation to pursue constant intimacy with the Lord You crave what you eat. As we meditate and study the word together, our minds will be transformed and our hearts will be refreshed.

  13. Goals for Harp and Bowl • Matthew 21:13 • My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations. • There will be joy in His house of prayer!

  14. Goals for Harp and Bowl • This model: • Serves as an on ramp/open door to dive into the revelation of who God is. • Angels never tire of singing “Holy, Holy, Holy!” • A billion years from now, we will still be in awe of who God is.

  15. Basic Model 1. Prayer Leader Welcomes 3-5 min. 2. Corporate Worship 15-20 min. 3. Worship with the Word 30-45 min. 4. Corporate Worship 5-10 min. Intercession 20 min. Optional-Corporate Worship 5-10 min.

  16. Corporate Worship We aim to lead the congregation to worship God with all of their hearts, minds, and strength. For the most people, for the longest time, at the deepest level.

  17. Worship with the Word Prophetic singing and devotional worship- No need to “lead” Congregation-worship God in their own way Atmosphere: where congregation can come in, sit, stand, kneel, dance, pray, meditate, draw prophetic art Choruses are beneficial in unifying the room

  19. Attitudes When you press in to worship God, to really encounter Him, the whole room benefits. The way you lead your life, walking in holiness, what you put into studying the word comes out in worship and it changes the spiritual atmosphere of the room. Be a thermostat, not a thermometer. Psalm 24- People will follow you, so ascend the hill of the Lord! Psalm 22-Remember, it’s God we want to meet We have an audience of One

  20. Roles/Preparation • Prayer Leader • Chooses/Studies scripture/breaks down phrases • Emails/posts scripture 1 week ahead of set • Leads room • Can ask for choruses/musical selahs from WL • Can call for rapid fire prayer, meditation, corporate, worship, worship in prayer language, etc.

  21. Roles/Preparation • Worship Leader • Studies scripture • Leads corporate worship • Leads and prepares chord progressions for each phrase • Submits to PL’s leadership • Develops choruses • Leads band

  22. Roles/Preparation • Prophetic Singers • Studies scripture/notes/counter references • Sings from the overflow of the heart • Paints a prophetic revelation canvas with song • Singer 1 keeps scripture/phrase focus • Singers sing off of each other • S1 communicates with PL & WL

  23. Roles/Preparation • Band • Submits musically to WL • Also studies scripture!

Roles/Preparation • Congregation • Encounters God • Follows direction of PL • Words of knowledge/prophetic words/visions: • submitted to PL to decide if/when to release them • Children: • Encouraged to participate • Supervised by parents • There isn’t a kiddie sized Holy Spirit • Discipleship

  25. Harp and Bowl When we seek God, He comes! This is exciting! We should expect God to speak and encounter His people
