5 Common Symptoms • Hallucinations • Muscle Spasms • Seizures • Weakness or paralysis • Extreme sensitivity to bright light, sounds, or touch • Difficulty speaking
Current Research • Rabies is prevented/treated with vaccines • Rabies is fatal if untreated • If you’ve never been vaccinated: 5 doses of rabies vaccine is needed • If you’ve been previously vaccinated: 2 doses of rabies vaccine is needed
Who is most susceptible to this type of disease? • No one group of people are more open to rabies. • Children are most at risk.
