It’s the point you’re trying to prove. • It’s almost like a “prediction” about your essay that you, as a writer, make come true when you write your body paragraphs.

Isolate the question by annotating the prompt. 2. Create a “T” chart with pros and cons. 3. Determine which position is most “writeable.” 4. Craft your thesis statement.
