  2. Abstract • Variety of sports events are held at the LSA Complex • Approximately 1,500 athletes participate between the ages of 5 and 16 • Getting in and out of complex is very difficult • There is only one road that leads out of the complex

  3. Problem • The outdoor soccer facilities is poorly engineered • There is only one exit • The traffic is being confined in this area • People seek other exits • This is a safety hazard

  5. This picture shows how people are illegally off-roading to exit the sports complex

  6. Solution • Prepare a letter for Billy Babcock to send to the chairperson of the L.M.P.O. • This letter contains information on: • Safety issues • Facility improvements • Easier accessibility

  7. Getting the Process Started • Best way to get the process of getting a road built contact the L.M.P.O. • The Lubbock Metropolitan Planning Organization (L.M.P.O.) • Made up of all kinds of professionals from the transportation industry • Meet to discuss and help make suggestions to the City of Lubbock where money should be budgeted for construction proposals.

  8. Conclusion: We have given Mr. Babcock our proposal and offered to help him further this idea by making it a reality if it interest him.
