Hypotheses • Parental confidence will increase • The mother will show increased sensitivity to their baby’s needs, increasing expressed emotion. • Parents show greater awareness of potential risks associated with infant unintentional injury in the home • Appropriate stimulation for the babies that may have longer-term beneficial effects on the children’s development. • Parental mental well being may be improved.

  9. Design • Pragmatic stepped wedge • 9 clusters • Delivered in 2 phases • 2:1 50 Intervention 22 Control participants • Measures collected at Baseline and end of programme • Follow up all participants 6 and 12 months after baseline.
