  5. OverallGoalUNDP/GEF project To develop and apply appropriate management techniques for sustainable land and water resource use in the upper Syr-Darya river basin to support the growing population while stabilizing the ecosystem and contributing to social stability

Expected Outputs of UNDP/GEF project • Set of Environmental Quality Objectives defining an environmental vision for upper part of the basin • Set of management techniques developed at the community level through demonstration pilot projects • Strategic Action Plan (SAP) for upper Syr Darya River basin.
