Freshman & Sophmores! GEAR UP will be taking 50 Freshmen and 50 Sophomores to the Universityof California Los Angeles on Friday, October 26th from 7:30am-5:30pm. In order to qualify to attend, you must have PERFECT ATTENDANCE (zero absences in all periods) from 9/24 to 10/19.
Grading Period Ends The end of the 6 week grading period is on October 12th. Students need to make sure all assignments are turned in and all tests taken by this date to count towards your grade.

Hoover Cross Country Congratulations to the following Hoover Cross Country athletes for their outstanding performances at the Central Park Invitational in Huntington Beach, CA, last Saturday. Clean Campus Classroom Program • After taking 5th period attendance, scheduled classes are escorted to the Back Quad by their teacher. You will meet with our Environmental Specialist who will explain the task at hand. • With the new lunch boundaries, trash pick up takes about 15 minutes. Letter Jacket or Sweater A deposit of $100.00 on the Jacket and deposit of $50.00 on the Sweater is required when placing your order. Bring any patches you want sewn on with you Wednesday evening. HOOVER COLLEGE PREP DAY! Wednesday, October 17 Minimum Day! All 10th & 11th grade students will take the PSAT: • Measures critical reading, math problem-solving, and writing skills. • Provides students firsthand practice for the SAT. • Gives students the opportunity to enter the National Merit Scholarship Program. AP Club Friday October 12th at 2:30 in room 1251 there will be a brief AP Club meeting to elect the AP Club's Leadership Team. All AP students welcomed. Anyone interested in running for a position on the Leadership Team needs to see Mrs. Hedley by Thursday, October 11th to be on the ballot.
