TRANSPark

TRANSPark is an interactive internet application that helps drivers and transport company operations managers locate parking areas for trucks, buses, and coaches. It also provides a range of information including route planning, slot availability, fuel prices, border waiting times, traffic restrictions, security guidelines, weather conditions, currency converter, legal advice, and support. The database is constantly updated and available free of charge.

TRANSPark – History & Database • Database developed over many years by the IRU together with its Members and with the International Transport Forum (ITF) / national Ministries of Transport • Sources of other Information Hub services, are exclusively based on IRU-owned databases and external applications like Google

TRANSPark - What is it? • Interactive internet application with search functions to locate parking areas (trucks and, at a later stage, buses and coaches) • Driver Start-Up Point, a genuine Professional Driver Information Hub for assisting drivers and transport company operations managers (= Driver Information One-Stop Shop)

  5. TRANSPark - Maps • TRANSPark maps - the heart of the application, based on Google Maps • GEO-Coordinates: the Alpha and Omega • Today, TRANSPark contains 2880 parking areas, of which 1820 (63.19%) have been “GEO-identified and 1060 are still to be in 43 countries
