Improvements we are making • Increase shuttle service usage • Predict parking flow patterns with north lot opening • Mark all visitor, special needs, handicap and hi efficiency spots • Ensure seamless flow of hospitality between parking lot and building. • Allow more spaces to be available for visitors • Determine a flow for parking and utilize signage and hosts to implement • Allows spaces to be more visible • Ensures welcome within first seven seconds
Role of Parking Lot Host • Greet with a friendly smile • Direct the flow of traffic using flag • Wear fun yellow vest or jacket
Then and Now • Solo volunteer job • On a continual basis • In various locations • Sign up once a month • Longevity challenging • Orange vests • Part of hospitality ministry • Only as needed • In prime traffic flow locations • Sign up by your schedule • Part of a new fellowship • Yellow vests • Ministry constantly requiring feedback and growth.
Where do I go on Sundays? • You’ll receive an email the week before reminding you of your volunteer time. • Meet your team captain at the south lot welcome kiosk10 minutes before your shift begins (9:15, 10:30) for assignments • Walkie Talkies/ flags help • Vests and jackets located in the south hallway sanctuary
How do I sign up? • Visit our website at www.cumc.com under new sanctuary / parking lot • Parking lot hosts assist only at peak attendance periods. First session is March 7 – May 30. • Sign up for a date and time that fits your schedule. • We ask that you consider signing up for 5 times over the March – May period.
