Until the sixties, the design of jeans did not change at all. The standard remained 501s, and other competing brands simply copied them in a series of virtually identical versions. Jeans can be: “natural”, i.e. blue.
Jeans can be: “stonewashed”, when they are washed in a machine with pumice stones which remove the colour in places and soften the fabric.
Jeans can be: “black”, when the indigo thread is replaced by black thread
