Ifyouaretakinganybloodthinners,tellthedoctoraboutthemduring theinitialconsultationasconsumptionofthesemedicationsneedsto becutwellbeforesurgery–atleastacoupleofweekspriortothe transplant.Plavix,Coumadin,Heparinandallaspirincontainingdrugs fallunderthecategoryofbloodthinners.Betablockerscanalsoaffect yoursurgeryanditsresults,soifyouaretakingbetablockers (Propranolol)toregulateyourbloodpressure,letthedoctorknowas hemaychange some of them beforethe surgery.
