Administering State Agency Currently administered in Florida by the Department of Health Child Care Food Program (CCFP) Afterschool Nutrition Program (ANP) Homeless Children Nutrition Program Child Care Food Program—Child Care Centers
PURPOSE • Provides the nutrition children need to learn, play and grow at afterschool programs • Meant for children in low-income areas.
$ $ $ $ $ $ PURPOSE • This federal program provides reimbursementsto organizations that serve eligible snacks and meals to children at eligible sites.
Site Eligibility Req’ts to qualify Afterschool Nutrition sites • Public or private non-profit • Located in 50% or more free & reduced-price school zone • Activities provided (educational or enrichment, regularly scheduled) • Child care license or license exemption • Meet state and local health and safety standards

When Programs Operate • After students’ school days • Weekends • Holidays • Cannot operate during summer
Meal Pattern Requirements Supper Snack • 2 components (no “liquid diet”, i.e. fruit juice & milk) • 1 serving of milk • 2 or more servings of FRUITS &/or VEGETABLES • 1 serving of GRAIN or BREAD • 1 serving of MEAT or MEAT ALTERNATIVE
