  2. Revised Problem Statement Because of limited time and resource ,we can’t consider all modules on homepage Thus the four modules we are considering are:- 1. Search Box 2. People Finder 3 . Teaching/ Research 4. Campus news/events

  3. How you developed the personas and goals Interviews Discussions Brainstorming Observations Imaginations General knowledge after studying subjects like System Development, Human factors in Information Systems , OOAD etc.

  4. Personas for Current Students Since we are current students We know needs ,demands and expectations Used our experiences For more general persona and to be unbiased we conducted interview of student from other majors including undergraduate students General research

  5. Persona for faculty and staff Interview More detailed and elaborative discussion Brain storming Understanding their lifestyle Observation Expectations and behavior

  6. Persona for Alumni Interview Observation of the alumni’s we know personally Understanding their daily routine and lifestyle Knowing about their interest in university related issues General research Imagination

  7. Example Personas Dr.  Rajeev Mishra (Faculty Persona) Maggie smith (Alumni Persona) Tom Miller(Current Student Persona) Jeremiah Carter (Current Student Persona)

Faculty Persona Dr. Rajeev Mishra(Professor in M.B.A ,28 years old) • Bright student , from small city on India • Single ,ready to mingle • Energetic and cheerful guy and loves to talk home on internet • tries to find some efficient ways of doing things • Wants things easy , efficient and fast Goals:- • To search a person in ISU or different Departments etc. • To look over his course and other information related to department. • To look for Upcoming campus events. • To check his E-mail and blackboard.

  9. Alumni Persona Maggie smith(40 years old) • Average student, passed in 2000 • loves to travel, takes vacations with her husband and 2 children • worked for three different companies • always interested in giving back to the university Goals:- • To be in contact with the fellow alumni, faculty and staff currently working at ISU. • To be able to know about all events which would be happening in the university? • To be able to know the advancements currently going on in the university.

Current Student Persona 1 Tom Miller(Graduate Student in M.B.A. ,30 year old ) • New at ISU , undergraduate degree from U.K. • Loves reading books and cricket but no TV at home • preferred ISU because it is a cheap university • he cannot live without Internet • Likes everything organized and disciplined Goals:- •  To maintain good academic standing. •  To be a leader by keeping himself updated. •  To use his managerial skills to improve his day to day activities. •  To keep him updated with the sports events on campus. •  To learn more about the courses  and class schedule in his department.

Current Student Persona2 Jeremiah Carter(20 years old, B.S. in Accounting) • Currently a junior student, oldest of four siblings • Use social networking like My Space • Wants things fast and easy • Like pictures , multimedia and videos on computers • Loves sports and parties a lot Goals:- • Be able to find events. • Be able to find friends and classmates information. • Be able to see university pictures and the virtual tour. • Be able to access information fast and easy.
