Task ~ In pairs What has brought you into teaching and what is keeping you here? What is your vision for you as a teacher? What do you want your classroom to be like? What does that mean, if you are going to turn your classroom into that vision? What actions are you going to take?
Oprah Winfrey, Entrepreneur "Teachers are often the people who inspire us the most. I know I wouldn't be where I am today without my fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Duncan. She so believed in me, and for the first time, made me embrace the idea of learning. I learned to love learning because of Mrs. Duncan."
A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops. Henry Adams • Good teaching is more a giving of right questions than a giving of right answers. Josef Albers • I cannot teach anybody anything, I can only make them think. Socrates • The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires. William ArthurWard
