  10. Frequently Asked Questions • Is the class recognized? Yes, we are licensed by the Minnesota Department of Education, as well as accredited by CITA and certified as a WIA training provider. We are also supported by financial institutions and call centers in the area that serve on our Business Advisory Council. • Do you need good credit to obtain a job in this industry? No, not necessarily, running a credit report for employment is dependent on the institution. For example, Wells Fargo does not run credit reports during their hiring process but ING DIRECT does, however ING DIRECT only verifies all debts are current. • What are the shifts? Generally daytime for banks and varying shifts for call center style businesses. In general, the hours of the industry are good and should not pose too many child care or transportation issues.

  11. Frequently Asked Questions • Are there benefits? Most of the businesses in this industry sector offer medical and other benefits to their employees. Many even provide some benefits for their part-time workers. That is a huge difference when you compare the industry to retail and other somewhat similar jobs. • Career progression opportunity? Typically this industry likes to start people at the bottom and move them up. In fact, many top executives began their careers as tellers or customer service representatives. • What geographic area does the program cover? The program does not have geographical limitations but will primarily serve individuals from Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Wright, and possibly Morrison counties.
