This overview highlights the focus, outputs, and activities of the Rural Development Division (RDD) within the National Agricultural and Poverty Commission (NAPC). Non-Agricultural Activities in Rural Areas Objective • Investigate and assess the extent and nature of non-farm activities in rural areas • Develop a suitable methodology & conduct analysis in selected regions • A pilot study to test the methodology and gather first hand information • Assess the existence, relevance, characteristics of non-farm activities in rural areas Firas Haider , Rural Development Division
Poverty & Migration Trends Objective • Define rural poverty • Define appropriate indicators for analysis • Analyze the relationship between rural poverty and migration The Project organizes a short course on poverty analysis methods to provide the required technical background for this study Firas Haider , Rural Development Division
