  1. Mothers – Through the Eyes of Jesus

  2. Mothers are selfless. • Her humility found favor with God. • She thought of others instead of herself.

  3. Mothers are subordinate to God. We must love God even more than we love mom! Doing God’s will is more important than genetics.

  4. Mothers are to be respected. She should be honored by my life. Brining honor to mom is never dishonoring to God.

  5. Mothers build up their children. • She trains her children to leave. • Leaving is blessing.

  6. Mothers are to be treasured. Treasuring her is providing for her needs.

  7. What does that mean to me?

  8. “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.” Exodus 20:12

  9. Motheringshouldbeselfless. • Godly mothers must be humble. • Godly mothers put others needs before their own.

  10. God comes before mom. Love mom lots, love God more! If there is a conflict of wills, follow God’s!

  11. Respect your mother. When people look at your life, it reflects on your mother. Honoring God always brings honor to mom.

  12. Mothering is about the children. • Train your children to not need you. • Train them to follow God through the hard decisions.

  13. Treasure your mother. Provide for her when she needs you.
