  6. The structure of the wall of the small vein differs in several respects from that of the artery. The tunica intima shows an endothelium and a thin internal elastic lamina. The tunica media is narrow, with less smooth muscle and more collagen and elastic fibers. The tunica adventitia is loose fibrous connective tissue with collagen and elastic fibers.
