God saved me and saves me Romans 3:22 We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.
And he keeps saving me... 1 Corinthians 10:13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
Psalm 121 I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.
God likes me Genesis 1:31 Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.
Psalm 139.13-18 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!
God calms me Matthew 11:28-30 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
1 Peter 5:7 Cast your cares on him because he cares for you.
Jesus says that God already knows what we need... Matthew 6:31-33 So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ Who will be president? Who will my kids marry? What if I lose my job? Is there going to be a WW3? 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
Philippians 4:6-7 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Acts 17:24-25,28 He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn't live in man-made temples, 25 and human hands can't serve his needs—for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need... In him we live and move and have our being.
Thinking we can meditate or enter some sort of Christian trance in order to relieve anxiety may not be practical advice. We might need to physically write down in a journal our thankful thoughts so our minds won’t wander back to our anxious thoughts. We might need to sit in the tub and breathe. We might need to go to church every time the doors are open. We might need to avoid places & people that trigger the stress. We might need to turn up the stereo and blast some praise music while we vacuum instead of letting our minds wander. Anxiety has physical manifestations, so we might need to combat it physically as well.
God doesn’t want me to be afraid Isaiah 41:10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
Psalm 23:1-4 ...I will not fear, for thou art with me Psalm 56:3-4 But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?
Scripture combats hurt, anxiety and fear. And God’s promises are in there! He always tells us the truth. Remember, Jesus quoted nothing but scripture to the Enemy and the Enemy fled from him. (Matthew 4)

Conclusion: We need calming and reminding from someone who loves us and is glad to be with us. We need a little singing in our ears giving us hope and reminding us of how good things will be. Mothers of children, parent this way because this is the way God parents you. Daughters of the King, let yourself be parented this way. Let God’s lullaby in your ear each night be what you choose to focus on so you can really and truly rest.
