FALAKNUMA PALACE - Mirror of the sky A horse-drawn buggy conveys guests up the drive to the scorpion-shaped Falaknuma Palace, which was bought by the sixth Nizam of Hyderabad in 1897. Its current tenants, the Taj Group, restored the estate between 1995 and 2010.
Every inch of the Falaknuma, constructed less as an actual residence and more as a venue for entertaining European dignitaries, was designed to be shown off. Elaborate stained-glass door panels illustrate medieval English themes.
