Introduction • Albert Einstein was born on March 14th, 1879 in the city of Ulm, which is 85 miles away from the city of Munich, Germany • Albert was married to a woman named Mileva Maritsch, then he had a second wife, but with Mileva he had two sons • Their names were Albert Einstein jr. and Edward Einstein • On April 18th, the greatest scientist that ever lived, had died • He was buried in the Institute for Advanced Study

Interview • Do you think classmates in school knew you would be such a successful when you were older, do u think they would still accuse you of being stupid and dumb? • When you were a little kid what did you do to get them to stop calling you stupid? Did it hurt your feelings, or did you just ignore them? • What else did you struggle in other than school and money?

Adolescence • Age 5-10: family were non-observant Jews • Age 12: He learned Euclidean geometry • Age 14: Einstein began to understand deductive reasoning • Age 15: He was ordered to stay in Munich until he finished secondary school • Age 16: Performed 1st famous experiments when he thought of traveling along-side a beam of light

  5. Adolescence cont. • Age 17: He graduated from the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School with a diploma in mathematics and physics

  7. Social Contribution Albert Einstein did many things for our society to help explain why things happen and how they happen. He was awarded with many medals on his way to success. He made important contributions to the quantum theory. 1905- honorary doctorate 1919- honorary doctorate 1921- honorary doctorate 1922- Nobel prize in physics

Early Childhood • His father was an electrical engineer and mother was a musician • His mother taught him to appreciate music, and she also taught him how to play the violin and the piano • He struggled in school and had slow development • He started speaking at the age of 2 • His family gave him a steady starting point to assist him in his learning

Early Adulthood • Albert failed in one school so he went in to secondary school • In 1900 he graduated as a math and physics teacher • In 1901 he was teaching at a school called Winterhur • In 1902 he got a job at the patent office, he got a very quick promotion • In 1905 he earned a doctorate for the explanation on molecular dimensions

Adolescent Adulthood • In 1911, Einstein resigned at the patent office and worked as a professor, which was after he made a famous explanation about radiation energy • In 1912, he started his work on gravitational inequalities • That then led to his explanation of the, “Theory of Relativity” • In 1921, Einstein received the Nobel prize

Late Adulthood • By 1933, he went to Princeton to do more work and to improve his knowledge • In 1940, Einstein became an American citizen • During this time, Einstein had made many international trips • 1949, Einstein became unwell • He wrote his last letter in 1954 • He was cremated and his ashes were scattered at Trenton.

Hayes • Rutherford Hayes was a republican • His vice president’s name was William A. Wheeler • Hayes was also a lawyer and a military leader, he fought in the civil war • Hayes was the official 19th president of the united states • Hayes was born in Delaware, Ohio and died in Fremont, Ohio • His spouse’s name was Lucy Hayes and they had 8 children
