LED Over Heat Alarm Measure the internal temperature Internal temp: <90, LED is blue light Internal temp: >90, LED is orange light • Advantech QA testing profile is to make sure system is stable under 60C environment temperature, chamber air flow rate: 0.7m/s; To reflect customer’s installation site sometimes will be non air flow condition, over heat LED is to alarm customer that environment temp is too high, suggest to enhance the air flow rate. • Internal temperature 75C; the main components are within spec;

  24. Q&A: • Could ARK-1382 support to Intel Core Duo 1.2GHz processor? DDR2 2GB memory? 16:9 wide panel support? Multi-language OS available? • Yes. ARK-1382 support for Intel Core Duo 1.2GHz processor and the model will phase in around the end of June • If you need to use 2GB memory, please order the P/N we provided to avoid the compatibility issue. • 16:9 wide panel supported. • 2070003782 _ ARK-1382 XPE V3.01 ENG, CHT, CHS, JPN (848.90MB) • 2070003783 _ARK-1382 XPE V3.01ENG, French, German, Italy, Spanis • It is the same installation process; use Ghost 8.3 to restore it to CF. When boot complete, it is ENG UI(default), you can go to control panel “Region” to select other UI, then restart. It will become other UI, but size will be big.

Or non brand? • Modify as customer brand logo: MOQ=50pcs; please provide JPG/DXF file mark with size, color; After receiving file, we will confirm drawing with 3 days. • Remove Advantech logo, no MOQ, please apply T-P/N and change the chassis P/N to 1960012213T020. • Support dual independent VGA display? • Yes, we have outsourcing miniPCI VGA card which adopt XGI Z9 IC; You can use T-P/N to get ARK-1382 w/ miniPCI VGA card and IO panel change to 1 x DVI-I (VGA model by package: 1654000446) and 1 x VGA

  26. Q&A: (cont.) 4. Could we provide remote on/off power bottom to replace the on/off switch? • Yes, modify the power connector as phone jack, MOQ= 50pcs and w/o NRE 5. Wide screenresolution up to? • 1388 x 768 ; 1920 x 1080 (TBD) • Why the temperature is high on the surface? • ARK-1000 use the whole alumni chassis as heatsink, the boards contact with the chassis directly to enhance dissipate heat; All the main components are within spec, please refer to the thermal condition data in next page. (ARK-1382W-S0A1E)

Product need to notice point • [China] ARK-1382W version, we do not provide CCC_SRRC certification; If China require for WLAN version, please order ARK-1382-S0A1E and WLAN module/cable together, CTOS installation locally. • [eSATA] There is no Plug and Play function for eSATA, by project requirement; (BIOS need to modify and check the customer’s device can be controlled by AHCI) • [Thermal Alarm] under the non air flow condition, when internal temp is 75C, the reference environment temperature is around 45C. (It depends on the system is full loading or not and other issues, so please still depends on the internal temp: LED light) • [COM port] Default setting is RS-232, if need to use RS-422/485, need to adjust by jumper. • [DOS] under DOS, DVI only support x 1 the red mark is the disable one
