  3. When describe a person or a thing/place.. • You use ilest (or elleest) only when it is followed by an adjective • Il estsympa. Elle estgrande. • C’est is used for every thing else: • With a person’s name: C’est Pierre. • With an article + noun: C’est un ami • With an article+noun+adjective: C’est un amifrançais
