Architects/ Architecture in World History: Architects have been around for about 5,000 years (and were active in early civilizations); The term/ title Architect comes from 2 Greek words that mean “Master Builder”; As the “Master Builder”, the ancient & earlier Architects must know everything about buildings; Architecture is unique because it is the only major profession that is both art and science; Architecture is 1 of the 7 major art forms; and that is why Architects can become PH National Artists; s2 Towards a Better Appreciation of Architects & R.A.
