Background • e2Virginia was discontinued as of June 21, 2019. • The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) developed a temporary data collection system in an application called, REDCap. • REDCap is a secure platform for managing online databases and surveys and is used widely by (VDH). • VDH is working to procure a new permanent data collection system in the coming year.
Background – Data Import • VDH imported historical data for clients served from 1/1/2018-June 21, 2019 into the system including: demographics, most recent lab values, the five most recent Ryan White service encounters, CHARLI data, and Patient Navigation data. • This should enable users to continue entering data for clients currently being served. • Data to Care and HIV Testing data was not imported into the data system. • CAREWare data will not be imported or included in the REDCap system. VDH will request CAREWare files through a secure transfer process. All questions regarding CAREWare data should be directed to khunter@vcu.edu.
