I mean, he is literally living what the Bible says we all should live. Now, David, seven organs quit in one afternoon. You died. Did you die twice at that time? DAVID: I did. SID: You died twice. If you hadn’t trained your family, as I said earlier, you wouldn’t be here right now. DAVID: That’s a true statement. SID: What happened? DAVID: I was out in the village just doing my job. My job is heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, and cleanse the lepers because freely we have been given, freely we give. And I believe that. And so I’m doing my job, and my son was explaining to me some of the problems we have in the work. At that moment is when heaven revealed to me that my hedge of protection was lowered and that hell was coming. And my son immediately, he’s a great man of God, he immediately began to tell me Bible verses, protection verses, healing verses. That’s what he should do. DAVID: And I just calmed him down, “Son, listen. I don’t why this is going to happen, but it’s got to happen. In Jesus’ name we’ll make it through it.” Because what you need to understand is in the morning I’m healthy. In the morning I’m going on a horse ride for 14 days, preaching three times a day. SID: That’s healthy. DAVID: So I’m not sick. And then it hit me, and life was taken from me. I went blind, deaf, cardiac arrest, lungs quit, liver quit, kidneys … Everything quit. And on the way home is when death came. And I saw this light, and so I was walking toward the light. I was leaving. And then I start hearing in my ear, like way away from me, my son-in-law speaking to me, but nearly as he was right here in my ear hollering and screaming, but it sounded like it was way off from me. And he called me back. And I turned around and went back. DAVID: And I came back to life the second time. And the next thing I know, I couldn’t see. I’d lost my sight and my hearing, but I smelled my wife, and I felt her touch. That’s important, because I latched onto her. And she started praying, and she’s screaming at me, and I could hear barely out of one ear. And I grabbed her and told her, “I’m sorry. I apologize. I’m not going to make it this time, and I love you and you’re awesome. And I 1/3

2. want to tell you thank you.” That’s when, I didn’t know what she was doing, but they told me later she climbed up in my lap, grabbed my shirt and said, “You will live and not die in the name of Jesus.” And it was quite a rough night. SID: You’re the man of the understatement. DAVID: But I came to the next morning, and I was still alive. And then gradually my organs cut back on and got my sight back, hearing. Life started coming back to me slow. But it was hard. I couldn’t work. I was weak. I couldn’t pick a coffee cup up. I couldn’t … There’s a lot of things I could not do. And then it dawned on me that we were doing a 40- day fast. And I don’t know who’s going to agree or disagree. It’s not relevant to me, but I told my wife, it is the will of God that I participate in this fast. DAVID: She said, “You can’t. You’re too weak. You’ll die.” I said, “But you told me I would live.” She said, “Okay, but instead of you going off somewhere by yourself, can I participate with you?” And I said, “Of course you can.” She was nervous. Everybody’s nervous, because we haven’t been down this trail before. This is life and death trail. This is seek God for life. So we started, first day my health didn’t deteriorate anymore. I fasted. DAVID: On the seventh day I’m asleep in my room. It’s early, early, early in the morning. And somebody grabbed me by the head and touched me. I jump up. I reached and got a .45-70 rifle, because I was from a dead sleep, right, and I grab this rifle. And I run in my office. I didn’t see anyone. And my wife is behind me clapping. And I turned to look at her, “What’s up with you?” She said, “Look at you.” I said, “What is it?” She said, “You’re holding a rifle for one. It weighs 11 pounds. Set it down.” So I did. She said, “I need you to do a couple of exercises for me to find the pain.” The pain was gone. I was completely healed. SID: I want you to say this prayer. And that’s putting your little toes in the water, but Jesus will be inside of you rather than outside of you, and it’s the start of a life of the greatest adventure a human could have. Repeat after me out loud. Dear God … Audience: Dear God … SID: I’m a sinner. Audience: I’m a sinner. SID: And I’m so sorry. Audience: And I’m so sorry. SID: I believe the blood of Jesus … Audience: I believe the blood of Jesus … SID: … washes away my sins. 2/3
