Sid Roth - ISN Ministry Seg Mull

I was reading one ofu00a0Sid's booksu00a0and-one of the men that he talks about in the different stories talked about how someone had told them that the Jews were chosen to receive God's punishment. I was like that isn't founded on the word of God, he chose them because he loves them.

  1. Sid Roth - ISN Ministry Seg Mull sidroth01.blogspot.com/2019/12/sid-roth-isn-ministry-seg-mull.html RICHARD: [PRAYING] Let's pray: Holy Spirit, we thank You for Your presence here, Lord. We don't invite you, we just welcome You. We thank You that you've been here tonight, and Lord we welcome you to minister into our hearts to transform us into your image. Confess our absolute dependence upon You, Lord. We need you more than anyone and any words. In Jesus name, Amen. RICHARD: Anybody here struggle with sin in your life? Yeah, we got a few people. Anybody here sin a lot? At some point maybe you wondered maybe I've gone too far. Anybody been there? Am I the only One? We've got a few other, we've got a lot of sinners here. AUDIENCE: [LAUGHS] RICHARD: But you know Jesus was a friend of sinners and he was pretty comfortable there. The thing that encourages me, Luke 7:47. This is what Jesus said. The woman that had washed his feet with her hair- RICHARD: [READS LUKE 7:47] RICHARD: Anybody ever get to that place where you wondered, 'Can God really love me?' You feel it, you know the truth, you learn it in Sunday School, but you ask the question, 'Can God really love me?' What about this one. I know God forgives sin, but 1/8

  2. maybe I've gone just a little too far. Maybe I've sinned one too many times. Anybody ever felt that? What about I know God forgives, but I don't deserve it therefore I won't accept His forgiveness. There was a woman that was about to have her hands amputated, she came to us. We knew that the root of that was intense self-hatred. And I asked her, 'Is there anything you've never been able to forgive yourself for?' She asked if her daughter could be removed. As her daughter left, she began to talk about something that happened when she was 15 years old, that she had never been able to forgive herself for. 51 years old, 36 years later, that self-hatred had begun to take its toll on her body. Severe type of arthritis that begins to attack your appendages. She'd taught Sunday School, she'd been the pastor's secretary. She knew the truth. She knew the word of God. But she also believed she didn't deserve it. Aren't you glad that we don't have to wait 'til we deserve it? Anybody ever get to this place? I accept His forgiveness but I won't forgive myself. This woman struggled to forgive herself. She finally accepted God's forgiveness. I said, 'Are you ready to forgive yourself?' and she goes, 'No way, I can never do that. I vowed I would never forgive myself.' I said, 'If the highest court in the land declares you not guilty, can a lower court hold you accountable for your crimes?' And she said, 'No.' I said, 'Are you putting yourself and your justice above the court of heaven?' She goes, 'Well that doesn't sound really good, does it?' I said, 'I don't think so.' AUDIENCE: [LAUGHS] RICHARD: I said, 'Would you forgive yourself?' 36 years! I can never forgive myself, and that night she forgave herself. That week she went in to see the doctors, they pulled the bandages off her and her hands were restored, everything but the finger nails, they had already fallen off. And I told this story for a number of years and then I was at a home school meeting and I walked in and this grandmother was sitting there watching her granddaughter get some achievement and she was sitting there tapping her fingers and I got to see the rest of the story. I love it when God allows you to see the rest of the story. 'Cause when He restores He restores completely. Amen? AUDIENCE: Amen! RICHARD: Amen! RICHARD: Anyone ever say, 'I hate myself, I hate myself for what I've done, I hate the way I look, I hate whatever it is.' And here we have eight times Leviticus 19:18: Love your neighbor as yourself. Leviticus 19:34: Love Him as yourself. Matthew 19:19: Honor your father and mother and you will love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:39: the first commandment is to love the lord your God and the second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself. Mark 12 31: the second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Luke 10:27: And he answered you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself. Romans 13:9: The commandments: You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness, you shall not covet-and if 2/8

  3. there is any other commandment are all summed up in this saying, namely: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Galatians 5:14: for all the law is fulfilled in one word: You shall love your neighbor as yourself, and James 2:8: If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, You shall love thy neighbor as thyself. It almost sounds like heresy to talk about loving yourself. We grow up learning to almost hate our self...I'm just a sinner saved by grace. To talk about loving yourself sounds wrong, according to how we grew up. But the whole law is fulfilled in loving your neighbor as you love yourself. If you don't love yourself it's going to be hard to love your neighbor. AUDIENCE: Yes. C'mon now! RICHARD: Where is the breakdown? Do we start by going, I love myself, I love myself, I love myself, I love myself- AUDIENCE: [LAUGHS] RICHARD: -just say it over and over again. No. How do you get to that place? I believe that the focal point of the enemy's attack on our lives is to keep us from receiving the Father's love. When we have an encounter with the Father's love, beyond our intellect, beyond meditating and reciting something, when it gets into our spirit, loving our self is a by-product, because we just begin to join hands with Him and love what He loves-and if we can love our self we are going to be able to love others. Began to look at love throughout scripture, every reference of love. It's kind of how I dive into different subjects-I like to go from Genesis to Revelation, every healing passage, every faith passage, I like to look at the Hebrew and the Greek in every context. And I was looking at love and what blew me away is I began to see the God of the Old Testament like I had never seen Him before. And it was like we have the God of the OT as the God of judgment and wrath and anger and he's just ticked off at all these sinful people. And then we've got the God of the New Testament and He's love and roses and sunshine. Deuteronomy 7: 7 through 13, and I'm just gonna quote one part of it. The Lord chose you because He loves you. He chose Israel, He chose Abraham, He chose them to bless them because He loves them. I was reading one of Sid's books and-one of the men that he talks about in the different stories talked about how someone had told them that the Jews were chosen to receive God's punishment. I was like that isn't founded on the word of God, he chose them because he loves them. Jeremiah 31: 3- RICHARD: [READS JEREMIAH 31:3] RICHARD: God was drawing them with lovingkindness. First time the Lord impressed upon me to preach a message of love, I was invited to Africa, I was travelling with 3 other preachers and the reason they invited me to go-we need a healing guy, we need the deliverance guy on our team. Okay û it's the Assemblies of God guy, and the spirit filled African-American pastor and they bring the Baptist guy to bring the healing and deliverance! And I get there and I'm in-this season of creating a study Bible, God Speaks 3/8

  4. Bible and I've been studying every passage where God speaks form Genesis to Revelation, learning more and more how to hear His voice. And I get to Africa and I'm looking forward to speaking, I've got a repertoire of stuff I can pull from and the Holy Spirit says, 'I want you to tell the pastors that I love them.' AUDIENCE: [LAUGHS] RICHARD: Ok, God, this is a pastors' conference, you know we're not talking to the kindergarten, we're talking to the pastors. And the Lord [said], 'I want you to tell them that I love them.' And I said, 'Okay God.' Because you've got to be honest with yourself and I'll be honest with you. When you're with 3 other preachers, it's a preaching competition. You know you at least want to show up, you at least want to bring your “A- Game,” and I'm going, “No, Lord, tell them you love them?” I was beginning to sweat and I'm a day away from speakin'. And the Holy Spirit goes, 'Richard, they don't know that I love them. Because they don't know that I love them they don't know how to love their wives, they don't know how to love their children, they don't know how to love the sheep.' I [think] 'God, these men look awesome, they all look happy, and they've been hugging me, and they've been nice, they want to carry my stuff.' I was like they gotta know about your love. And then the Lord said, 'I don't want you to speak to their heads, I want you to speak to their hearts.' Okay, at this point I was ready to just call it quits and go home. It's like [I'm thinking], 'Lord, what are you talking about?' There's times when I hear God that He makes me really nervous and this was one of those times. AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER] RICHARD: And so then He said, 'Richard, You're a great Father'-[I say], 'Thank you, what does that have to do with any of this?' And He said it again, 'You are a great father.' I said, 'Thank you, Lord.' You can see one of my children here. And Philip's right here on the front row. I'm always proud of all my kids. I'm more proud of my kids and my spiritual kids than I am of anything that I accomplished. But I was [thinking], 'Okay, how does this relate?' And the Lord said, 'I want you to tell them how you loved Nathaniel. I want you to tell them how you sang over him.' When we first took Nathaniel to the hospital it was against my better judgement, against my desire, but it was the only way free way to get blood work done. It doesn't make any sense, why you can't just go some somewhere and get blood work done. We had to check in to the hospital, spend the night there to get free blood work done. During that 36 hours we were in the hospital he saw 30 doctors, they're poking and prodding him, they took a biopsy which means they gouge a piece of skin out. He's one almost two [years old]. And I have dealt with people in ministry that are traumatized as infants and the trauma in their infancy in the hospital. And so I'm [thinking], 'That isn't happening with my son!' So I've got him up on a table and they're gouging skin out of him and I'm just singing over him- RICHARD: [SINGING] 'Don't you know the Father loves you? Don't you know how much He cares? Don't you know He's thinking of you? Don't you know He sees you there? He sees right in to every part of you. He sees right in the very heart of you. He loves you 4/8

  5. like no other could. He loves you like no other would. He sees the hurt, the pain that you've been through. And He longs to comfort and rescue you. He loves you like no other could. He loves you like no other would-' RICHARD: I'm trying to minister to his spirit but he's [Philip] is screaming bloody murder, staring me in the face. Later I process what's going on in his head, 'Dad, why are you singing, these people are hurting me, get off of me'- AUDIENCE: [NERVOUS LAUGHTER] RICHARD: I don't know-but my desire is to just minister to his spirit. Little did I know that about 36 [or] 48 hours later I would be pulling him off my chest laying him on a table and saying, 'He's gone.' Because of the medicines that they had forced us while we were there to give him against our better judgment. I think [advice that was] against the Holy Spirit. Trust the voice of the spirit of God more than you trust any doctor. AUDIENCE: Yes. Amen. RICHARD: We had grounds for a legal suit and everything, but the Lord said, 'Do you want him healed or do you want to fund your ministry? I said, 'I want my son.' And for the next ten weeks, after God raised him from the dead, I was in the hospital every night and I would stay there and every night I'd get down close to him. And he's in a drug induced coma, he doesn't react to hardly anything, I think there were times that he saw angels cause all of a sudden his face would light up and he turned his head and look across the room and I was [thinking], 'What are you seein', I wish I could see what you're seein' – because he'd been forty minutes with Jesus. But I'd get down there and I'd start singing to him. Nurses would come in and I'd sing under my breath but they'd [say], 'I want to hear' and I'd sing a little bit louder- RICHARD: [SINGING] 'Don't you know the Father loves you? Don't you know how much He cares? Don't you know He's thinking of you? Don't you know He sees you there? He sees right in to every part of you. He sees right in the very heart of you. He loves you like no other could. He loves you like no other would. He sees the hurt, the pain that you've been through. And He longs to comfort and rescue you. He loves you like no other could. He loves you like no other would'- RICHARD: There he [Philip] was hopeless, helpless according to man's idea he'd never come out of a coma, he would never talk again, he would never do anything. We never believed that. Stood there over him, prayed over him when he was helpless. I wish I could have taken his place, but I couldn't. God wants you to know that His love for you, my love for my son, singing over him is a dim reflection, it is nothing compared to his love for you! RICHARD:[READS JOHN 3:16] 5/8

  6. RICHARD: John was called The Beloved. He grasped the Father's love. And he writes about it in John. Throughout the Book of John he writes about the Father's love. Throughout First John he writes-he says, 'God is love.' He says it time and time again. God is love. It's who He is, it's His character, it's His DNA. I can't paint a picture for you of the Father's love no matter how good I have been, no matter what stories I could tell you about how much I love my kids and how I show it, it is a dim reflection of His love for you. When we're transformed by that love it does something. RICHARD: [READS 1 JOHN 4:16] RICHARD: He who fears, he who has anxiety, he who has stress has not been made perfect in the Father's love because anxiety, worry, fear cannot exist when we absolutely are certain that He has got us in his hands then there is nothing that can touch us. And it leaves our head and hits our spirit we got nothing to fear, we got nothing to worry about because my Daddy is a big Daddy, my Daddy can take on any daddy around- AUDIENCE REACTS RICHARD: He can take on any devil. There's places where God has taken me where if I had known where I was goin' before I got there I wouldn't have gone. I was in the Volta region of Ghana, and people in Ghana don't go to the Volta region of Ghana. I was in a village that worships the serpents. It's the war God of the country, and many consider it the war God of the continent. I didn't know that. I didn't know what brought me to [Afiife ??] I didn't know it was such a cursed town. You can't drink the water or you'll die. And–I didn't realize that its 95 percent idol worshippers. I can't tell you all the practices because it would defile you mentally to know some of the things that they'd do. But they were cursing me with death curses. Well I'm thankful that I didn't know that at the beginning. I've got these people in robes and they're doin' stuff and I don't know what they were doing, I'm just preaching, and the pastors [tell me], 'Everybody in the village is talkin' about the crusades,' and I thought, 'Yeah, because they've got the speakers facing out, like you can't not talk about it, you know, cause everybody hears what's going on.' And he then says], 'You know, when the guys that are wearing these robes are doing this,' [as if I haven't noticed] 'Well, most people die when they do that-they do a lot of rituals before they do that type of witchcraft, and-people usually die-' AUDIENCE: [LAUGHS] RICHARD: Okay-.And he said, 'Oh, but don't worry. Everybody in town says your witchcraft is more powerful than their witchcraft.' AUDIENCE: [REACTS WITH HOOTS, PRAISE AND CLAPPING] RICHARD:I had to process it a little bit and I said, 'You know what? I've been sleepin' like a baby and my family is safe, and we are blessed and this place is cursed.' And I'd been 6/8

  7. around [Ed Servosa ??] I love what he says, he says: 'In the celestial poker game of life' û I'm not gonna try his accent, I can do it but I won't do that for you û But [Ed says], 'In the celestial poker game of life a blessing trumps a curse every time.' AUDIENCE: [CLAPS] It does! That's right! Yes, Sir! RICHARD: And I began to preach to the witchdoctors, and I began to talk about how I sleep at night, and how I have only dreams from come from God and from heaven and how beautiful they are and how my family is blessed and my children are blessed, and I said I feel really sorry for all of you, because I know I've been around witchcraft enough, I've dealt with people coming out of witchcraft, and I know how tormented their sleep is, I know how tormented their finances are, I know how tormented just about everything in their life is. And I said, 'I come with the blessings from heaven, I come with the blessings of a Father who loves. And you come with a curse and it just comes back on you!' And that night we had witchdoctors coming in their robes giving their life to Christ and idol worshippers coming and giving their life to Christ. AUDIENCE: [CLAPS] RICHARD: Perfect love casts out fear. Now the part of this passage that jumped out at me one day- RICHARD: [READS 1 JOHN 4: 16-17] RICHARD: I thought boldness in the Day of Judgment. Judgment, it's always been one of those heavy words. Like-Judgment [breathes out]. You got to always feel heavy when you say it. And I got a whole new picture. 'It's judgment day, Daddy's coming to take us to be with him. Can I set up the chairs? Is there anything I can do to help?' I've been looking forward to this day because I don't have anything to be afraid of. Because my Daddy loves me, I can have boldness on that day because my Daddy loves me. He loves you. And He sings over you. Don't you wish you could hear those songs? I believe tonight some of you are going to hear Him singing over you. I believe He wants me to sing-but I believe after that you are going to have an encounter with God. You're gonna hear what He thinks about you. I think some of you are gonna hear the songs that He sings, and the song He might sing for you is different that the song He might sing for me. One of the things that people often wrestle with when they begin to hear God, begin to encounter God is they're gonna hear him say, 'My daughter you are so precious. I love you so much.' And the first thought is, 'That's what I want to hear but that's probably not what he would say to me.' And we reject the very words that He speaks over us. And we think we're making it up. And usually I ask people, 'Is that the way you think about yourself?' And [they say], 'Oh, no.' Often our spirit blocks the blessings from God. How many of you, men and women, someone gives you a compliment and you deflect it. You make a comment to kind of deflect it. Because your spirit isn't receiving. You don't receive an embrace from your spouse. You don't receive, 'Honey, you're beautiful.' You don't 7/8

  8. receive it 'cause your spirit is so used to listening to the lies of the enemy. That even when Father God speaks to you, you don't receive it. I want to pray before I sing to you, before you hear what the Holy Spirit has to say to you, before you encounter his voice tonight, that those blocks to your spirit would be torn down. That you wouldn't reject His voice, you wouldn't reject His message that He speaks to you. In order to do that I want to ask you tonight to forgive yourself. Receive His forgiveness. Before we do anything else, I want to ask you to search your heart, if there's areas in your heart that you go, 'I've never been able to receive God's forgiveness for somethin'. I've asked for it but I knew I didn't deserve it' [then] I want right now, [with] your head bowed, your eyes closed-I know there's people in here that have never been able to receive his forgiveness. And I want you first of all just to ask, 'God help me. Help me to receive your forgiveness.' It's been a lie from the enemy that's told you that you don't deserve it, so you shouldn't receive it, you can't receive it. But I want you right now just to say, 'God, do you really forgive me?' And listen to what His spirit says. I know what His spirit says. And now I want you to just say, 'Lord, I receive Your forgiveness.' I want you to just join him now, those things you've said: 'I could never forgive myself for'-the enemy uses them and brings them back to your mind to keep you [from] walking in the fullness of your destiny, to keep you from believing that God can really use you to your fullest. I want you right now just to say, 'I agree with You, God, and I forgive myself. I want to be like You. Help me to forgive myself, and I do, I forgive myself.' I want to pray for great sleep. Great rest. That Your children would experience what it's like to curl up in Your arms and know that You have them. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen. Read more interesting Blog visit Sid Roth . 8/8
