  1. What to do if you have troubling logging into your Wordpress installation Prepared by Roger Stritmatter, PhD For students of Akhbar El Yom Academy

  2. Click on the “lost your password” link.

  3. That brings you to a screen in which you enter your username or email. Then click the “Get New Password” button.

  4. If the system has an email registered for you, it will send you a new, temporary password. • Go to your email account, access the password, and use it to log back into the site. Cut and paste the password from your email account into the password form on the site to make sure you’ve gotten it correct. • Once you are back in to your account, you should reset your password to something you can easily remember

  5. Do this by clicking on the “Users” tab and then on “Your Profile.”

  6. If you went through these steps but did not receive an email with a temporary password…. • That means one of two things: • Your email is not registered with the site (sometimes a data base corruption or loss could cause this) • You used an invalid email address when you registered or when youtried to retrieve your password • Whichever is the cause, the result is the same: you must re-register for the site.
