As the authorities have declared the Shri Hemkund Sahib Yatra Opening Date 2022 of the portals (doors) i.e. 22nd May, the pilgrims have started planning their journey to this significant pilgrimage site. Hemkund Sahib (also spelt as Hemkunt Sahib) is one of the major Sikh Gurdwaras. • It is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Being situated in the snow-covered mountains, the Gurudwara is open for Darshans by pilgrims only 5 months a year and for the rest of the time, the way to reach Gurdwara Sahib is usually covered with heavy snow.
