  2. The introduction of 3D printing A 3d printer is a process that creates 3d objects from a digital model. The 3D objects are made out of solid materials. A 3d printer created a false jaw which was transplanted into an 83 year old woman. This covered nearly the whole of the lower jawbone. The jaw was made by a precision laser which fused titanium powder together.

  3. The first printer The first printer was created in 1938 by Chester Carlson. Xerox was a dry printing printer and was the foundation of printers to come.

  4. The modern Printer In 1953 the first high speed printer was developed by Remington - rand for use on the computer named Univac.

  5. Input, Process, Output Input- what you want to print and selecting print. Process- the processor in the printer recognises the digital model and begins to cut with the laser. Output- A high quality product with exactly the same measurements as the model.
