  2. OPENING THE CORRECT PROGRAM! • Click on… Start • …Programs • …MS Office • …Microsoft PowerPoint • …Blank Presentation …OK • …Select the “Double Heading” AutoLayout; the default

  3. Your first page will be your TITLE PAGE. We will read through this first – then the slide will repeat! • INSERT NEW SLIDE - Begin with the slide with two text boxes. • Put your Hero’s name in the first box. • Increase SIZE and make it BOLD. • Put your name in the second box. • You can alter the FONT. • Follow the following sample.

  6. THE RESEARCH Now, INSERT - NEW SLIDE – SIX TIMES – USE A VARIETY OF SLIDE TYPES - Think about the type of information that will be displayed in each type of slide. Outside of the lab, learners will complete the graphic organizer making notes about your subject.

  7. Title the Slides – in this order! • DAILY LIFE • VIEWS • EXPERIENCES THAT INFLUENCED OPINIONS • CONTRIBUTIONS • RISKS TAKEN • SOURCES

  8. Now INSERT- NEW SLIDE – Choosing the BLANK option. You will use WORDART to write THE END

  9. TO SAVE YOUR PRESENTATION • Click and hold on FILE • Drag to SAVE AS • Under FILE NAME put your initials and then your subjects, i.e., EOJH • Now go to SAVE IN and Pull Down your Menu to show REVHERO • NOW – you can click on SAVE

  10. CLICK on the TILTED blue A (When told to do so.) You will them select a WORDART STYLE Type “THE END” – and then increase the SIZE Click OK Adjust the words to your screen!

  11. Ta Da!

  12. Future enhancements include: • Typing in your information • Adding a Design Template • Adding pictures • Slide transitions • Preset animations • Music/Sound?
