  2. Born and raised… • Michael Brodie was born in 1985 and raised in Pensacola Florida • In 2003 he wanted to travel across the world by rail. • left home when he was 18

Inspiration… • The early influence of Michael Brodie’s photography was when he left home at 18 to travel across America by rail • His friend handed him a Polaroid sx-70 camera for him to take on his journey • He ended up taking beautiful photographs of the places and people he met on his adventure

  4. accidental documentary photographer • Micheal brodie did not have any experience with cameras when he started taking photographs. • He only knew how to point and shoot. • He left home after he was out of high school seeking adventure and excitement • He ended up becoming a great photographer • His photographs have been featured in exhibits in Milwaukee and galleries in Atlanta and los Angeles. • His work also appeared in the Paris international photo fair • He also mounted an installation at gallery lj beau Bourg in Paris

Style “By photographing his friends, their homes, and lifestyles, Brodie has captured a marginalized segment of the American population that’s not so prevalent in main stream society “ Michael brodie has no real style He took pictures of real people Not models Natural lighting His photography is disturbing in some cases but doesn’t hide anything This is how people live How the survive and their lives.

Live your life… • I believe Michael Brodie’s photography is very inspirational • He completely captures the essence of real life • He doesn’t bore us with his photography and he makes us see a different side of the world not usually photographed and exposed • His journey not only took him into fame but showed him what it was like for people on the rails • They lived everyday to its fullest and got by with what they had • His realistic photography is somewhat odd yet very unique
