What other factors got the U.S. involved with the war? • Germans resumed unrestricted sub warfare • Wilson’s promise for a “Peace without victory… a peace among equals.” • Russians overthrew their Czar • made this a war of democracies versus monarchies (little did we know that Russia would become Communist!)
