Energy for Life • Timing: May 1st to October 31st 2015 • Participants: 142 participating countries + Corporate pavilions (e.g. Coca-Cola, Apple, and many more) • Visitors: • 20-30 million visitors expected (40% Italian) • 1 billion virtual visitors • Audience: business, government delegations, public institutions, regulatory authorities, policy makers, consumers • Importance: historical showcase of innovation and contribution to progress (e.g. light bulb, elevator, diesel engine, ice-cream, touchscreen, etc.) • USA Pavilion: showcase innovation and responsibility as a core of America’s values

WHY ? • Johnson Controls has been vetted by the State Department as one of the most innovative, respected and responsible companies reflecting the theme of the USA pavilion • Starting with the patent for the electric thermostat in 1883, Johnson Control has ever since had strong track-record of delivering innovative solutions and technologies • Johnson Controls is not only a worldwide leader in R&D and innovation, but also sets best practice examples of corporate responsibility and citizenship • Johnson Controls can help deliver exciting programming through broad exposure to Expo’s main themes: energy efficiency, climate control, power solutions for transportation, etc.
Benefits of participation • Johnson Controls can help drive programming content for exhibitions, TED talks, conferences and seminars (e.g. innovation in building efficiency, climate control, hybrid vehicle power systems, and many more) • Become a content provider through sponsoring our visual guides on how energy-efficient building and transportation solutions can impact the food supply chain of the future • Provide building solutions, equipment or technologies for the pavilion or the restaurant and thus display new products • Sponsor our hall of innovation and showing videos featuring Johnson Control’s latest developments and technologies • Engage with members of top US/European/Italian institutions and other government delegations from the 142 participating countries to strengthen relationships and discuss policies issues (e.g. Transatlantic Trade & Investment Partnership) • Use the USA pavilion’s VIP areas, conference rooms, roof-top terrace and American Restaurant for organizing business meetings, hosting receptions and meeting government delegations
BECOMING A PARTNER • Partnership opportunities range from 1 to 5 million dollars depending on the level of involvement • We are organizing, for partners committing by March 15th , a meeting with President Obama on March 27th in the occasion of the signing in Rome of the USA’s Participation Contract with Expo 2015
