3. You investigate how this company informs you about Child Labor as a consumer. • We interviewed the manager of Barakat Company, who told us about children our age (12) and younger working in big farms under the blazing sun in India to pick the fruits and vegetables being exported.

4. Think together about a form of research that gives information on the company: We chose an interview. • Barakat Company is a fruits and vegetables company which imports and distributes fruits and vegetables. In the company there are children in the productions lines of suppliers who work hard pickings vegetables and putting them in boxes and then putting them on trucks to be delivered to the stores; even in the store there were kids loading the goods.

5. Does the company take measures to combat child labor in their production lines? • Yes, what the Lebanese company who imports those products did is they sent a warning to their Indian supplier (in India) informing them that if they keep hiring children to work hard and do what adults are suppose to do, they will stop importing their goods.

6. Does the company experiences difficulties in combating child labor? • Definitely they are facing a lot of difficulties in combating child labor because their supplier is making a lot of profit out of the poor kids, and it’s hard to convince them to do otherwise.
