  2. What is the Rolex 24 race? • The Rolex 24 Hours race is not about who gets past the finish line first it is about who does more laps in 24 hours. • The track is 3.50 miles.

  3. When is it? • It is on the last week of January or the first week of February.

  4. History • The race has had several names over the years depending on who sponsored it. Pepsi and SunTrust bank were two sponsors. • The first race was held in 1962. It was a 3 hour race. • In 1966 the race extended to 24 hours.

  5. What cars are used? The type of cars that are used are GT (Grand Touring) and Daytona prototype race cars. • Porsche • BMW • Chevrolet • Ford • Audi • Ferrari
