WRAP-up to Workshop on Monitoring & Data for Regional Analysis Chandler, AZ May 15-16, 2008
Next Steps on Workshop Results • Presentation materials on interactive agenda next week – notice by E-Mail • Draft Workshop Report in late May • Overview for each presentation • Include tabular results from scorecards and notes from breakout sessions • Comments and additions/corrections on draft report through June • Final workshop report as a resource and to provide additional definition of WRAP 2009 project activities • Need to think about key deliverables and projects needed over 2009-12 timeframe • Still need to prioritize both: • One project vs. another • Type of project - monitoring vs. data analysis, as well as vs. emissions and modeling studies
WRAP 2009 workplan elements • Support review, approval, implementation of regional haze plans • As resources are available - begin support of states with regional analyses that assist with: • Planning for Ozone standard toward 2012 attainment date • Concerns about regional contributions to air quality • PM2.5 and PM10/PMcoarse standards • Nitrogen sources/emissions, measurements, atmospheric chemistry, and deposition • Mercury emissions, transport, deposition • Deadline - Summer 2008 - Board to review and adopt 2009 workplan to meet immediate requirement to apply for EPA FFY08 funds • Workplan will need to be somewhat general – support of existing systems and data, until workshops in 2008 are complete • The workshops’ results will be used to clarify specifics of 2009 projects
