Michael Dettmers was one of the earliest and foremost proponents of the agile approach to organizational design. Michael is experienced in helping small to medium sized companies reach their potential in terms of productivity and revenue. Based on that experience, he co-founded Dettmers Inductries Inc., which was later selected in 1993 by Inc. magazine as one of the Best Small Companies to Work for in America.
This company was the perfect example of how small groups of self managed employees are more efficient. By continuing education and training for employees, the company is able to empower its workforce thereby increasing profits as well as increasing the take-home pay of its employees.
As the president and co-founder of Gylanix Solutions, Michael Dettmers delivered customized programs in leadership coaching, innovation, organizational transformation, entrepreneurship, and communication. His clients included Inter-Continental Hotels and Resorts, Amnex Inc., The Europe Japan Center, PPL Global, The PA Chamber of Business and Industry, Paine Webber, and others.
His next venture was MedX Corporation; a company that was was founded by Arthur Jones (also the founder of Nautilus). As CEO, he assembled a new management team, raised capital, and revamped operations to incorporate lean manufacturing practices.
In his free time, Michael enjoys playing golf, ice hockey, and SuperSlow Strength Training.
