Al Yamama Projects in Majnoon • Al Yamama has joined Majnoon on 23rd of March 2011, it was Halliburton Subcontractor. • The HSE crew was only two engineers and one safety officer. • Al Yamama was involved in Civil works only such us earth works, concrete works (re bars and formworks) precast supply. • Al Yamama now got direct project from SIPD from Shell ERW, Shell Construction, Shell Operation

Al Yamama HSE in Majnoon • The most HSE challenges for Al Yamama here in Majnoon were the Following: • Road Safety, Machines Movements, lifting Activities, excavation activities, CSA, Working at Height and Etc. • Al Yamama HSE deals with those challenges in three different levels to stop the risk and to achieve goal Zero as SIPD expected from us, we can divide the challenges into three items: • Hardware • Processing • Behaviors and control of the employees (local)

  5. Al Yamama HSE in Majnoon • Hardware • 1- Inspection of equipment • We started to inspect our machines, Plants and vehicles as per the SIPD Stander with help of SIPD.

Al Yamama HSE in Majnoon • Hardware • 1- Hygiene Inspection for canteen, Clinic and camp: • Al Yamamahas realized that hygiene inspection is very important barrier to avoid food and water contamination for our labors and staff, our labors and staff are most important assets for AY, (Thank god) so far for more than two years We did not have any case in terms of food and watercontamination.

Al Yamama HSE in Majnoon • Al Yamama Plants in Majnoon related to HSE • Al Yamama Reverse Osmosis Plant • Including bottle factory with all required daily laboratory tests equipments with qualified chemical engineers to do the following tests (PH, CL2, Turbidity and TDS). The remaining test will be sent in monthly bases to Al Basra university lab. For testing. • Al Yamama sewage treatment Plant • Al Yamama Incinerator • Al Yamama Clinic and Ambulance

  11. Al Yamama HSE in Majnoon • Hardware • to ensure every one in AY drinks clean water, AY has installed RO station together with water bottle factory. AY is collecting row water for RO just from ALSWAIB river next to Majnoon. AY has our it’s own laboratory to conduct regular water tests such as: PH, TDS, Turbidity , Hardness as caco3, Chlorine, Ca and Mg, the other tests are sent monthly to Al Basa University lab.

  14. Al Yamama HSE in Majnoon • Processing • AY has started to develop it's own HSSE documents to monitor HSSE cultures and to comply with SIPD regulations and process. AY has got all it’s documents approved as Code (1) according to RFCs for each and every project as per each project requirement. • AY is updating on Daily/Weekly base all HSE reports, Chemical inventory, color code system, list of fire extinguishers, smoke redactors and recording all unsafe acts unsafe conditions and reporting and investigating all accident/incident

Al Yamama HSE in Majnoon • Processing • AY is conducting every Month at least one drill to educate the labors and staff, in those drill AY focuses at the need of the team and what is missing what is important to know such as working in hot weather, how to clean oil spill, food chocking, man down, emergency evacuation and for many case that Ay could have encountered, here is AY 2012 Drill schedule.

Al Yamama HSE in Majnoon • Behaviors and control of the drivers • To control manpower HSE culture and behaviors for Iraqi labors and staff AY realized this point, so AY has opened training center approved from SIPD training center to deliver General HSE training and ERW at AY HSE Training Center,

  19. Al Yamama HSE in Majnoon • in same to that AY has CPR awareness course, flag man training and different courses. Since SIPD providing deferent Training courses, so AY takes this opportunity and sending the labors to those training.

Al Yamama HSE in Majnoon • Received training courses, giving by SIPD are: • 1- DDT courses we have more than 158 drivers got that training. • 2- Train trainer course for HSE induction, since that we 4 trained till now 590 workers. • 3- ERW train trainer course we have three trainers so we trained more than 590 workers. • 4- Flagman train trainers course, we have 4 trainer gave that training to more tha 35 flagmen.
