PURPOSE OF THIS PRESENTATION Explain the resources Arlington Public Schools used to aggressively recruit bus drivers Teach participants how to screen, interview, and select bus driver applicants Evaluate the effectiveness of training

THE FACTS… • School districts faced with the same systemic problem. • Problem: recruiting, training and retention of bus drivers. • School bus drivers must undergo more stringent hiring process • School districts must compete with local transit companies as well as neighboring school districts to recruit, train and retain qualified drivers.
